Reed named associate provost for institutional equity

Terri Harris Reed, assistant dean for graduate education in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, has been named Princeton University's associate provost for institutional equity. Her appointment is effective Sept. 7.

Reed, who has 20 years of university administrative experience, will serve as a member of the provost's staff, primarily responsible for issues related to diversity and equal opportunity throughout the Princeton community. She will also collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside of the provost's office to address matters of institutional policy and allocation of resources.

"I am absolutely delighted that Terri Harris Reed has agreed to become associate provost for institutional equity," said Christopher Eisgruber, who became the University's provost July 1. "As a result of her exceptional work as assistant dean in the Woodrow Wilson School, she has earned the friendship and respect of many people at Princeton. I am confident that her energy, intelligence and breadth of experience will quickly enable her to become a leader on issues of diversity and equity."
