Congressional economist to speak, Nov. 3

A lecture on "Deficits, Taxes and Social Policy: What Will Happen During the Next Four Years?" is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in 16 Robertson Hall.

Speaking will be Wendell Primus, minority staff director of the Joint Economic Committee for the U.S. Congress. A government economist for several years, he has worked for the House Ways and Means Committee and played an integral role in drafting the Gramm-Rudman act. He also has conducted research and drafted policy on issues such as child development, welfare, employment, child support, retirement and disability assistance.

The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs .
