Princeton observes National Girls, Women in Sports Day, Feb. 5

The University's sixth annual celebration of National Girls and
Women in Sports Day is set for Saturday, Feb. 5, at Jadwin Gymnasium.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., all youth under age 14 can participate in an
Interactive Sports Expo hosted by Princeton's female student-athletes.
Children will be able to try a variety of varsity and club sports
offered to Princeton students, as well as learn about the "Science of
Sports" from volunteers from Princeton's Teacher Prep Program.
Prior to the 7 p.m. women's basketball game against Harvard University,
WNBA President Val Ackerman will deliver an address. There will be a
halftime performance by the Excelled Gymnastics Team, and an autograph
session with the Princeton women's basketball team will follow the game.
Faculty, staff and their families may receive free admission to this
game by presenting their University I.D. at the ticket gate on the day
of the game. Others interested in purchasing tickets should contact
