Weigel to discuss 'Theology of the Body,' Feb. 23

George Weigel, a Roman Catholic theologian and biographer of Pope John Paul II, will speak on "Body Language and God-Talk: The Theology of the Body" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in McCosh 10.
Weigel's lecture will cover a new approach to thinking about sex, drawn from the Bible, contemporary philosophy and the thought of Pope John Paul II.
Weigel is a senior fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center. "Witness to Hope: The Biography of Pope Paul John II" is among 16 books he has written or edited.
The lecture is sponsored by the Agape Christian Fellowship,
Athletes in Action, Christian Leadership Ministries, the Department of
Religion, Manna Christian Fellowship, the Office of Religious Life, the
Organization of Women Leaders and the Wesley Foundation.
