"Military Force, Planning and Decision-Making" is the title of a lecture to be presented at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Speaking will be Col. John Agoglia, director of the U.S. Army Peace Keeping and Stability Operations Institute. Part of the Center for Strategic Leadership at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., the institute functions as the army's authority on strategic and operational peacekeeping and stability initiatives, focusing on issues concerning national decision-making and deployment of force commanders and their staffs.
Prior to joining the institute in 2004, Agoglia served at the U.S. Central Command, which he joined just four weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks. He helped develop CENTCOM's plans for Afghanistan and Iraq.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
