Scholar discusses post-Zionism, April 13

"Forgotten Histories of Post-Zionism: Universalism, Judaism and the Messianic" is the title of the second annual Edward Said '57 Memorial Lecture, which will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in McCosh 50.
This year's lecture will be delivered by Judith Butler, the Maxine Elliot Professor in the Departments of Rhetoric and Comparative Literature at the University of California - Berkeley and the Hannah Arendt Professor of Philosophy at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
Butler has written on philosophy, religion, identity politics, gender and sexuality. Her books include "Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity" (1990), "Bodies That Matter: On the Discursive Limits of 'Sex'" (1993), "Excitable Speech: A Politics of the Performative" (1997) and "Antigone's Claim: Kinship Between Life and Death" (2000).
