Students and NY pianist to give recital, April 15

Siblings Lauren Carpenter, a junior violinist, and David Carpenter, a freshman violist, will collaborate with Cullen Bryant, a pianist from New York City, in a recital at 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, in Fine Hall’s Taplin Auditorium.
The trio will play sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Rebecca Clarke and Johannes Brahms, as well as short pieces by Max Bruch and George Frideric Handel. Sponsored by the Friends of Music at Princeton, the concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
The Carpenters have performed around the globe. Lauren is co-concertmaster of the Princeton University Orchestra and has won numerous national music awards. David also has several accolades to his credit, including the top prize in the Philadelphia Orchestra Young Artists Competition as well as the Gold Medal at the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts Competition.
Bryant frequently plays with Midori and with members of both the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera.
