Sociologist discusses religion and sexuality, May 5

Sociologist Dawne Moon of the University of California-Berkeley will deliver a lecture on "Religion and Sexuality: Truth and Power in Everyday Life" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in 302 Frist Campus Center.
Moon is the author of "God, Sex and Politics: Homosexuality and Everyday Theologies." She is an assistant professor of sociology at Berkeley, where she teaches courses on religion, culture, sexuality, gender and qualitative methods.
Moon holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Chicago. Her lecture is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Religion.
