Student groups present Katrina relief show, Sept. 15

A variety of student performing arts groups will be featured in a concert to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Quadrangle Club, 33 Prospect Ave.

The show will include dance groups such as the Black Arts Company, BodyHype, DiSiac, Expressions, Naacho and TapCats; a cappella groups such as the Katzenjammers, Koleinu, Shere Khan, Wildcats, Tigertones and Tigressions; and other performance groups such as the Juggling Club, Princeton University Band and Triangle Club.

Admission is free, with suggested donations of $5 to $10. The concert is sponsored by the Undergraduate Student Government, the Inter-Club Council and the Projects Board.

Proceeds will go to the Coordinated Undergraduate Fund for Hurricane Katrina Relief, which was organized by students to provide donations to relief organizations such as the American Red Cross and to school districts in the affected areas. The organizers hope to raise $24,000 for the fund through several charity events.
