Two staff members have been named to leadership positions in Princeton's Office of Development.
They are: John Martin as director of the Office of Development Administration; and Elizabeth Boluch Wood as director of the Office of Principal Gifts.
"John and Liz will each play an important role in our fund-raising efforts as we all work to sustain Princeton's excellence and advance it in the future," said Vice President for Development Brian McDonald. "We are delighted to welcome these talented professionals to our team."
Martin will be responsible for supervising human resources functions
in development and coordinating administrative activities, including
budget and process management. A Princeton staff member since 2004, he
initially worked in the Office of Human Resources but was assigned full
time to development.
Before coming to Princeton, Martin worked in human resources at Dun & Bradstreet, Chase Manhattan Bank and R.H. Macy's & Co., and previously had served as assistant dean of campus life and director of student activities at Monmouth University. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Rowan University.
Wood will be responsible for leading Princeton's principal gifts
team as it raises funds for the University's highest capital
priorities. She is returning to the development staff, having served as
a senior associate director of leadership gifts during the Anniversary
Campaign for Princeton from 1995 to 2001. For the past four years, she
has been chief development officer for the Cancer Institute of New
Jersey, where she helped establish the CINJ Foundation.
Prior to her work at Princeton, Wood served on the development
staffs of Harvard and Brown universities. She is a graduate of Amherst
College.
