Post reporter speaks on religious right, Nov. 10

Washington Post reporter Hanna Rosin will present a lecture titled "The Religious Right Controls America and Other Myths From the Campaign Trail" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Rosin covered the 2004 political campaign for the Post's "Style" section, contributing features on the Republican and Democratic camps, evangelical conservatives on Capitol Hill, the influence of Christian pop culture in political campaigns and c elebrities' roles on the campaign trail. She is currently working on a book about the new evangelical elite.
Rosin was an award-winning religion reporter for the Post from 1998 to 2001. Previously, she was chief political writer for GQ magazine, national columnist for New York magazine and a staff writer for the New Republic.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Center for the Study of Religion as part of the "Crossroads of Religion and Politics" series.
