Author to discuss gay marriage and children, Nov. 15

Writer and activist Jonathan Rauch will pose the question "Will Gay Marriage Help or Hurt America's Children?" in a lecture scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
Rauch is a writer in residence at the Brookings Institution and the author of "Gay Marriage: Why It Is Good for Gays, Good for Straights and Good for America." He also is a senior writer and columnist for the National Journal, a correspondent for The Atlantic Monthly and vice president of the Independent Gay Forum.
Rauch's work also has appeared in the New Republic, the Economist, Harper's, Reason, Fortune, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. His other books include "The Outnation," "Kindly Inquisitors" and "Demosclerosis."
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Center for Research on Child Well-Being.
