Former governor Whitman to speak, Jan. 11

Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of New Jersey and former head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will speak at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Whig Hall Senate Chamber.
Whitman will discuss her experiences as a national and local politician and offer insights into the 2006 congressional and 2008 presidential elections. She also will take questions from the audience.
Whitman served as New Jersey's first female governor from 1993 to 2001 and as administrator of the EPA from 2001 to 2003. She is the author of the 2005 book "It's My Party, Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America."
The event is sponsored by the American Whig-Cliosophic Society and Princeton College Republicans.
