Princeton's Triple Eight Dance Company
will host an intercollegiate dance show titled “Elements of the East”
at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Frist Film and Performance Theatre.
Also featuring groups from Rutgers University, the University of
Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University, the show will celebrate many
aspects of East Asian performance, including traditional Asian dance,
hip-hop and martial arts.
The Triple Eight Dance Company was founded in 2003 to promote
cross-cultural dialogue between the Asian-American community and the
Princeton student body through East Asian dance.
Tickets, available through University Ticketing,
are $2 for students, faculty and staff; $5 for the general public; and
free for Tiger Tickets holders. The event is co-sponsored by the
Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board, the Venture Fund and
the Department of Music.
