Players present 'Parade,' March 3-4 and 9-11

The Princeton University Players
will present the musical “Parade” in the Matthews Acting Studio, 185
Nassau St., at 8 p.m. Friday, March 3, and at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday,
March 4. The show also will run at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, March
9-10, and at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11.
“Parade” is the story of Leo Frank, the Jewish employer of a young girl
who is murdered on Confederate Memorial Day in Georgia in 1913.
Despite evidence to the contrary, Frank stands accused of the crime.
Directed by junior Rory Kress-Weisbord, “Parade” is an account of
racial conflict, xenophobia and political fervor.
One of the largest theater groups on campus today, Princeton University
Players is entirely student-run and has performed Broadway musicals
since 1986.
Tickets are $8 for students, faculty and staff; $10 for the general
public; and free for Tiger Tickets holders. They can be obtained at
Frist Campus Center or by visiting the University Ticketing Web site.
