Improv musicians to perform, April 11

Clogs, four international improvisational musicians, and QQQ, a
Princeton area musical performance group, will present a concert at 8
p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in Taplin Auditorium, Fine Hall.
Clogs will perform new works by music department faculty and graduate
students as well as special guest composer Ingram Marshall. QQQ will
perform three untitled tunes by its members: Monica Mugan, guitar; Beth
Meyers, viola; Jason Treuting, percussion; and Princeton faculty member
Dan Trueman, Hardanger fiddle.
Hailing from both Australia and the United States, Clogs performs
original compositions marked by improvisations and influences from
across the musical spectrum, from folk to rock to modernism. This year,
Clogs is collaborating and performing with a number of like-minded
electronic and improvisational bands, including Bell Orchestre, The
Books and Rachel's. The group is scheduled to perform later this spring
at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City and at the Music Now Festival
at Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center.
