Federal budget deficit examined, April 17

The dangers of continued federal budget deficits will be explored in a session at 5 p.m. Monday, April 17, in McCosh 64.
Speaking will be: Alan Blinder, the Gordon S. Rentschler Memorial
Professor of Economics at Princeton; and Ed Lorenzen, policy director
at the Concord Coalition.
Blinder served as a member of President Clinton's Council of Economic
Advisers and as vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal
Reserve System. Lorenzen is a former Congressional aide. The
Arlington,Va.-based Concord Coalition is a nonpartisan grassroots
organization dedicated to informing the public about the need for
responsible fiscal policy.
The event, sponsored by Students for Fiscal Responsibility, will include a question-and-answer session.
