Panel explores religious voices at Princeton, April 19

A panel discussion titled "Ethics on the Edges of Life: Religious and Secular Voices at Princeton" is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.

The panel will include: Cornel West, the Class of 1943 University Professor of Religion; Ryan Anderson, a 2004 alumnus and ministry coordinator for the Aquinas Institute; and senior religion majors Andrew Perlmutter and Jeremy Golubcow-Teglasi. The discussion will be moderated by Stanley Katz, a lecturer with the rank of professor in public and international affairs.

The event will include a screening of Perlmutter's documentary, "The Religion and Politics of Life and Death," which focuses on the role of religion in politics. The film features interviews with and dialogue between Princeton professors, alumni and students about whether religious arguments should be considered valid justification for public policy decisions.

An exhibition of Perlmutter's photos of the people interviewed for the film will be on view in the Bernstein Gallery of Robertson Hall.

The event is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
