African American Studies site redesigned

A redesigned Web site for the Center for African American Studies was launched on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The new site follows the establishment of the center by President Shirley M. Tilghman on Sept. 18.

The site features descriptions of the recently created Toni Morrison and James Baldwin lecture series. It also includes faculty and academic resources, event listings and related news headlines.

It will be updated and expanded as the curriculum is enhanced, particularly at the undergraduate level; the size of the faculty in African American studies is doubled; and Stanhope Hall is renovated to become the center's new home.

The redesign was completed by the Office of Communications in collaboration with staff members in the Center for African American Studies.
