President of pro-choice group to speak, Oct. 19

Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, will discuss "Putting Values Into Action: Mobilizing the Pro-Choice Majority" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
Keenan works to influence the debate on reproductive health issues in Congress, state legislatures and the media. Before joining the organization in 2004, she served as a Montana state legislator and state superintendent of public instruction. She also was national president of the Council of Chief State School Officers.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Gender and Policy Network.
