A free public screening of "The Lost Boys of Sudan," an
award-winning documentary about Darfur refugees in the United States,
is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, in McCosh 10. After the
screening, the director and one of the "lost boys" will be available to
answer questions.
Director Megan Mylan is touring the country with her film to promote
awareness of the Sudanese crisis. The film tells the story of Santino
Chuor and Peter Dut, two boys orphaned in the civil war, who walked
hundreds of miles to a refugee camp in Kenya before coming to America.
Joseph Deng, another Sudanese refugee who now lives near Philadelphia,
will appear with Mylan after the film.
Sponsors of the screening include Princeton's chapter of Amnesty International and the Pace Center. For more information, call Julian Smisek at (609) 986-7464.
