Conference focuses on human trafficking, Dec. 1

Scholars, government officials, legal experts and activists will discuss state and local government efforts to combat human trafficking in a conference scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.

The conference, titled "Marshaling Every Resource: State and Local Responses to Human Trafficking," is sponsored by Princeton's Policy Research Institute for the Region (PRIOR) and the Vera Institute of Justice.

Speakers will include scholars from several universities as well as representatives from the United Nations, the U.S. State Department, the New Jersey attorney general's office and nonprofit organizations such as Free the Slaves.

The conference is open to the public, but registration is required. A schedule of events and registration information is available on the PRIOR website
