Members of the University community are reminded that the annual
clothing drive to benefit the Hire Attire Boutique is scheduled for
Jan. 17-24.
Hire Attire is an organization that collects "gently used" business
clothes for men and women who are entering or re-entering the workforce
after completing a New Jersey job training program.
Those interested in donating clothing can drop off items in the OIT
Training Room at the Armory (Washington Road side) between 8 and 9 a.m.
and 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. weekdays from Jan. 17 through Jan. 24.
Hire Attire is part of the New Brunswick-based Adult Learning Center.
The organization needs all types of business and business-casual
clothing in good condition including suits, dress slacks, khakis, dress
shirts, collared casual shirts, blazers, skirts, sweaters, dresses,
jackets, coats, ties, belts and other accessories. Donations are tax
deductible.
The drive is being coordinated by the offices of the vice provost for
institutional equity and diversity, community and regional affairs, and
building services.
