Painter Anoka Faruqee will give an illustrated lecture about her work at noon Thursday, Feb. 15, in Room 207 of 185 Nassau St.
Faruqee, who currently lives and works in Los Angeles, has exhibited her work in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dhaka, Bangladesh. A 1994 graduate of Yale University, she earned her MFA from Temple University's Tyler School of Art. She attended the Whitney Independent Study Program, the Skowhegan School of Art and the PS1 National Studio Program.
She teaches painting and critical theory at the California Institute of the Arts, where she is co-director of the art program. Her lecture is sponsored by Princeton's Program in Visual Arts.
