Non-essential personnel on day shift dismissed early, March 16

Due to the weather conditions, all non-essential University personnel who arrived for work this morning will be dismissed between 1 and 1:30 p.m. today. All employees reporting for afternoon or evening shifts are expected to report for work as usual.

Departure times will be staggered to allow employees to exit campus efficiently. Employees should check with their supervisors or their Office of Human Resources representatives regarding departure times.

With a winter weather advisory still in effect until this evening, students, staff and faculty members are advised to check the Princeton home page for weather-related updates.

Campus opening and closing information also is available on the University's weather emergency hotline, (609) 258-SNOW.

In addition, the University maintains an Emergency Preparedness website, which includes a link to the Office of Human Resources' emergency weather policy. The environmental health and safety and facilities offices have published a list of tips on pedestrian safety during the winter.

The National Weather Service provides weather updates for central New Jersey on its website.

In addition, the New Jersey Red Cross offers winter storm preparation and safety tips online.
