The University will remain closed for all non-essential personnel until 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, as the state of the New Jersey continues to operate under a state of emergency due to heavy rainfall and flooding.
Essential employees are expected to report at their normal hours. The academic schedule is expected to operate as normal.
University officials will continue to assess weather and travel conditions, and an update will be posted on the Princeton home page by 6 a.m. Campus opening and closing information also is available on the University's weather emergency hotline, (609) 258-SNOW.
In addition, the University maintains an Emergency Preparedness website, which includes links to the Office of Human Resources' emergency weather policy and other emergency guidelines for the campus community (with flood and flash flood information from the Federal Emergency Management Agency).
Numerous state and local roads have been closed due to the weather conditions. According to local authorities, road closings in the area surrounding campus include: Alexander Road on both sides of Route 1; the Harrison Street bridge; Washington Road east of Route 1; Route 27 at River Road; and Route 1 North and South at the Interstate 295 interchange.
