High-tech funders share secrets, May 8

Four accomplished entrepreneurs and investors in technology businesses will share their stories and guidance for those who would follow in their footsteps in a panel discussion at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in the Bowen Hall auditorium.

The event, "From Founders to Funders: Nurturing the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs," will conclude the 2006-07 Technology Entrepreneurship Series sponsored by Princeton's Center for Innovation in Engineering Education and the Jumpstart New Jersey Angel Network, a venture capitalist group.

The discussion will be moderated by Ed Zschau, a faculty member in electrical engineering and in operations research and financial engineering, who teaches the popular course "High-Tech Entrepreneurship."

The panel participants are Ken Kay, chairman of Jumpstart; Bill Martin, co-founder of Indie Research; and Mario Casabona, president of Casabona Ventures. Like Zschau, all of the panelists successfully launched technology start-up companies before becoming investors themselves.

A reception will follow the panel discussion.
