Memorial service planned for Maruca, Sept. 14

A memorial service for Anthony (Tony) Maruca, a University administrator from 1957 to 1987, is planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, in the University Chapel.
Maruca, who served as vice president for administration from 1972 to 1987, died July 7 of prostate cancer at age 74.
A 1954 Princeton alumnus, Maruca served as chief operating officer at the Rockefeller family office for five years after retiring from the University. He moved to Martha's Vineyard, Mass., in 1992 and returned to New Jersey in 2005.
Maruca served as a member of the board of the University Medical Center at Princeton, Trinity Counseling Service and United Jersey Bank. In recent years he was a senior adviser at the New York Public Library and Princeton University Press.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; children Samuel Maruca, Nina Maruca, Michael Maruca, Joseph Cook and Peter Maruca; a sister, Angeline Fenton; brothers, the Rev. Dominic Maruca and Rocco Maruca; and 10 grandchildren.
