Defense official discusses war contractors, Nov. 6

Gary Motsek, U.S. assistant deputy undersecretary of defense, will deliver a lecture on "Contractors on the Battlefield" at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Motsek oversees the government-paid contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan, which perform functions such as construction, security and weapons system maintenance to support U.S. troops in war zones. He also serves as the principal policy adviser to the leadership of the Department of Defense.
The talk is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs as part of its series on "The Privatization of National Security."
