Panel on violence in Chechnya set for Nov. 13

A panel discussion titled "Forgotten, Not Frozen: A Roundtable on Violent Conflict in Chechnya and the North Caucasus" will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Panel discussants will include: Valeriy Dzutsev, a Muskie Fellow at the University of Maryland and coordinator for the North Caucasus at the Institute of War and Peace Reporting; Jason Lyall, an assistant professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton; Michael Reynolds, an assistant professor of Near Eastern studies at Princeton; and Fatima Tilsova, an independent journalist from the North Caucasus and a fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights at Harvard University.
The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination and the Department of Near Eastern Studies are sponsoring the discussion. A reception in Bernstein Gallery follows.
