Irish novelists to read from work, Nov. 16

Irish novelists Colum McCann and Joseph O'Connor will read from their work at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in the Stewart Film Theater, 185 Nassau St.

McCann's novels include "Zoli," "Dancer," "This Side of Brightness" and "Songdogs." He also wrote a novella and two short stories, together titled "Everything in This Country Must," and a collection of short fiction, "Fishing the Sloe-Black River."

O'Connor is the author of the novels "Star of the Sea," "The Salesman," "Inishowen," "Desperados" and "Cowboys and Indians." He also has published a collection of short stories, "True Believers," and a travelogue, "Sweet Liberty: Travels in Irish America."
