Lecture examines 'Pakistan in Crisis,' Dec. 4

"Pakistan in Crisis: Law, Power and Politics Under Pervez Musharraf" is the title of a lecture by Pakistani scholar Osama Siddique scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, in 2 Robertson Hall.
Siddique is currently an associate professor in the Department of Law and Policy at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan. He will speak about the nature of the current legal and political crisis in Pakistan, the public reaction and U.S. policy implications.
The lecture is sponsored by Pehchaan, a Pakistani student group, as well as the Program in South Asian Studies, the Program in Law and Public Affairs, the Department of Near Eastern Studies, the Davis International Center and the Global Issues Forum.
