Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, 8 p.m. Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall

Members of the University community will showcase their talents in the annual benefit performance, "This Is Princeton," at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.

Students, faculty and staff will participate in segments ranging from music to drama to film. The event is designed to highlight the rich arts culture on campus and is open to the public.

Among the performers will be: senior Sarah Vander Ploeg, an accomplished lyric soprano and violist; junior Christian Harris, who will present a short film; the student dance company eXpressions featuring violin music by senior Kieran Ledwidge; the student singing group Old NasSoul; senior Roger Mason, who will present a selection from his senior thesis play; and the Katzenjammers, the nation's oldest coed collegiate a cappella group.

The event is sponsored by the Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board and the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students.

Tickets are $6 for students and $10 for others. They may be purchased online through University Ticketing or by calling (609) 258-1742. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Princeton Arts Council youth and scholarship programs, which provide free subsidized arts programming and education for at-risk local youth.
