Posted April 3, 2008; 07:19 p.m.
A conference on "American Religious Liberalism: Retrospect and Prospect" is planned for Thursday and Friday, April 10-11.
Sessions will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday in 105 Bobst Hall and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m Friday in 103 Chancellor Green.
Participants will revisit the history of religious liberalism in America in an effort to redirect scholarly energies on this movement beyond the usual Protestant theological points of departure.
The conference is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Inquiries may be directed to the Center for the Study of Religion, which is sponsoring the event, by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (609) 258-5545.
