"Rightward Bound: Making America Conservative in the 1970s and What That Means in 2008" is the topic of a panel discussion to be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in 16 Robertson Hall.
The panel will feature historians Bruce Schulman of Boston University and Julian Zelizer of Princeton, co-editors of the new book "Rightward Bound: Making America Conservative in the 1970s." Also on the panel will be Paul Starr, a Princeton professor of sociology and public affairs who is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and co-founder of The American Prospect magazine; and Bill Berkowitz, a freelance writer who contributes to Media Transparency, a website that tracks the impact of conservative philanthropy on the media, and Inter Press Service, a global news agency specializing in globalization and development topic.
The discussion is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
