Navy captain explores policy and special operations

"Effectiveness in Public Policy: A Special Operations Perspective" is the title of a talk by U.S. Navy Capt. Brian Losey, director of combating terrorism for the National Security Council, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Losey's role with the National Security Council focuses on policy related to weapons of mass destruction, maritime security, hostages and special operations. He has led naval deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq, and was responsible for the planning and coordination of operations for more than 16,000 U.S. and coalition special operations personnel during the early stages of the Iraq war.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
