Paul Krugman, a professor in the Department of Economics and in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton since 2000, has won the 2008 Nobel Prize in economics. Krugman, who was recognized "for his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity," has contributed to numerous academic journals as well as to the public discourse on economics over the last 30 years.
