'Science: Facts and Frictions' is topic

"Science: Facts and Frictions" will be discussed during a dialogue at noon Thursday, Oct. 16, in 1010 East Pyne.
Participating will be Philip Campbell, editor-in-chief of Nature magazine, and Charis Thompson, a bio-ethicist and associate professor of rhetoric and women's studies at the University of California-Berkeley.
The event is part of the "Critical Encounters" series, which brings together like minds from unlikely disciplines for a dialogue followed by a question-and-answer period. Campbell and Thompson are expected to discuss cognitive enhancement, bio-politics and the ethics of science in the public sphere.
The event is sponsored by the Center for African American Studies, the Department of English and the Princeton Environmental Institute.
