Vanity Fair editor to speak

Todd Purdum, a 1982 Princeton graduate who is national editor of Vanity Fair magazine, will speak at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in 101 McCormick Hall.
His address is titled "Journalism in the Nation's Service: An Impossible Dream?"
Purdum joined Vanity Fair in 2006 after 23 years at The New York Times, where he was a correspondent in the Washington bureau and a diplomatic and White House correspondent. He also served as the Times' Los Angeles bureau chief and as a metropolitan reporter and city hall bureau chief in New York.
The event is sponsored by the University Press Club.
