Biographer to speak on Margaret Sanger

Biographer Ellen Chesler will present her views on American birth control activist Margaret Sanger at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in 4 Friend Center.

She will reflect on her celebrated book "Women of Valor: Margaret Sanger and the Birth Control Movement in America" in an address titled "Reconsidering Margaret Sanger: A Biographer's Perspective 15 Years After Publication."

Chesler is director of the new Eleanor Roosevelt Initiative on Women and Public Policy at Roosevelt House at Hunter College of the City University of New York.

The lecture is being sponsored by Princeton's Program in the Study of Women and Gender.
