Perry Nagin:
So I actually saw my first diSiac show

Perry Nagin:
before I was applying. I was a senior in high school,

Perry Nagin:
and I came to visit and saw a show before I was even here,

Perry Nagin:
and it was definitely a part of the reason why I came to Princeton.

Jennie Sirignano:
I remember running around my house trying to find my parents and

Jennie Sirignano:
telling them to look at these videos, and "There's this company called diSiac!,"

Jennie Sirignano:
and that I really wanted to come to Princeton because of it.

Clelia Douyon:
What I love about diSiac is the focus is mostly on the dancing,

Clelia Douyon:
and you know, we obviously take it seriously.

Clelia Douyon:
At the core, I think it's a lot about innovation and

Clelia Douyon:
trying new things and experimenting, which diSiac has done a lot of.

Clelia Douyon:
I think you'll see a lot of things on our stage that you won't see anywhere else on campus.

Pilar Castro:
We start with a lot of different ideas for every show.

Pilar Castro:
All members of the company contribute their

Pilar Castro:
thoughts and what they think would be a great theme for the show.

Pilar Castro:
Then all of us get together and we have discussions and we vote on the pros and cons

Pilar Castro:
and ideas for pieces and for fillers and advertising and what would be the best show

Pilar Castro:
to put on that year. So we had all those discussions,

Pilar Castro:
and actually in one meeting, the fastest diSiac has ever chosen a theme,

Pilar Castro:
we decided on "Evolution."

Philip Grace:
We really wanted something that would encapsulate the fact that this is our 10th-year anniversary,

Philip Grace:
as well as something that would really give us some room to experiment,

Philip Grace:
to do different kinds of things. We wanted it to be a big show,

Philip Grace:
and everyone knew this, so "Evolution" really seemed to be a big

Philip Grace:
kind of theme that could be suitable for a show like that.
