After Shelley Slaughter delivered her 17-year-old daughter, Ebony Slaughter-Johnson, to Princeton in early September, it was the first time they had spent more than a week apart. Six weeks later, they were happily reunited at Freshman Parents Weekend.

Events set for Black History Month .

A series of discussions, performances and other events celebrating Black History Month have been scheduled throughout February.

Tribute to folk legend Odetta planned .

A tribute to the late folk singer Odetta will take place Thursday, April 9, featuring a panel discussion at 4:30 p.m. in McCosh 10 and a concert at 8:30 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.

Arts initiative video .

Princeton President Shirley M. Tilghman comments on the University's goal of enabling all students to participate in the arts. A $101 million gift from Peter B. Lewis that established the Peter B. Lewis Center for the Arts already has allowed Princeton to begin increasing the impact of the arts on campus.

Members of the University community showcased their talent in a benefit performance, "This Is Princeton," Feb. 17 in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.
