Toral Ramaiya:
It was inspired by the
Toral Ramaiya:
Oscar-winning Slumdog
Millionaire which everyone here
Toral Ramaiya:
loves and basically it's not a
parody of Slumdog Millionaire,
Toral Ramaiya:
but it plays among similar
themes,
Toral Ramaiya:
I guess.
Chris Rucinski:
Welcome to BBC World News.
Chris Rucinski:
Tonight, we're in a private
exclusive dining room at one of
Chris Rucinski:
North America's most esteemed
and higher educational institutions.
Chris Rucinski:
We are joined here by
Congressman Billy Jindal,
Chris Rucinski:
the Republican candidate for
governor in New Jersey's
Chris Rucinski:
upcoming 2009 gubernatorial
election.
Sauhard Sahi:
Well, I have brown skin because
Sauhard Sahi:
Jesus gave me brown skin.
Sauhard Sahi:
But inside I'm as true an
American as anybody else out there.
Sauhard Sahi:
I was born down south in Louisiana.
Sauhard Sahi:
I could see the Gulf of Mexico
Sauhard Sahi:
from my house.
Sauhard Sahi:
But then I moved here because
there was better opportunities.
Sauhard Sahi:
I hope you share the American
dream that if you work very hard
Sauhard Sahi:
in life, you can rise above your
humble origins.
Kunal Nayyar:
So PSAT is the nation's first
Kunal Nayyar:
and oldest South Asian theater
group and it's a pretty cool
Kunal Nayyar:
concept because it's the first
group of its type where we,
Kunal Nayyar:
South Asians in America,
kids of South Asian immigrants,
Kunal Nayyar:
have a chance to bond over our
shared experiences and basically
Kunal Nayyar:
make fun of our parents and it's
a great time,
Kunal Nayyar:
I love it.
Toral Ramaiya:
Get married young for
Toral Ramaiya:
prosperous life,
that's what I always say!
Kunal Nayyar:
Ha... I would.
Kunal Nayyar:
You know, we got married when
we were 16 only --and even
Kunal Nayyar:
though I was halfway to Putna at
6:30 a.m.
Kunal Nayyar:
on our wedding day,
I'm still here now!
Kunal Nayyar:
I have the scars to prove it!
Toral Ramaiya:
Oh stop it, ya,
Toral Ramaiya:
not in front of the kids!
Toral Ramaiya:
But we have the hot hot lassi,
oh?
Kunal Nayyar: It's not line!
Toral Ramaiya:
I joined PSAT because I love
Toral Ramaiya:
theater and this is one of the
ways which I can do theater in a
Toral Ramaiya:
very chill atmosphere and I
didn't want too much pressure and
Toral Ramaiya:
this the perfect way to do it
without pressure.
Javaria:
Tell her that her hair
is like a crow,
Javaria:
casting its wings upward,
and then...
Javaria:
flying into a scarecrow...
Javaria:
and then getting lost..."
Vikram:
My name is Jamal.
Vikram:
I am new here.
Vikram:
I am foreign.
Sanchali:
Umm...Okay, I'm Tanvi.
Sanchali:
So,
how are you liking Princeton so far?
Vikram:
Oh it's good.
