Alumni musicians to celebrate jazz program history

Alumni of the Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble and the University jazz program will celebrate the program's history in a concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 9, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.
Titled "Celebrating Jazz at Princeton University: 35 Years and Into the Future," the concert will feature the works of Herbie Hancock, Bob Brookmeyer, Ryan Kisor, Pat Metheny and Freddie Hubbard. Alumni musicians will be spotlighted in small group settings. Returning artists will include trumpeter Eli Asher; pianists Keigo Hirakawa, Julia Brav and Vivek Mathew; saxophonist Ben Wasserman; bassists Julian Rosse, Dean Reynolds and Dan Ryan; and the Klez Dispensers featuring Adrian Banner, Ben Holmes, Amy Zakar and Audrey Welber.
Tickets are $5 for students and $15 for others. They may be purchased at the Richardson box office at 258-5000 or through University Ticketing.
