UPDATE: This meeting has been moved to McCosh 50, which is both air conditioned and larger than McCosh 10.
A repeat session of the "town hall meeting" that took place on June 25 has been set for 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, in McCosh 50. The session is open to all members of the campus community.
The second meeting was scheduled to accommodate those campus members who were unable to attend Thursday's meeting due to fire safety regulations when the room was fully occupied.
The agenda will be the same, including a review of cost-savings initiatives, more information on the Voluntary Incentivized Retirement Program and an update on how current economic conditions are affecting the University's budget.
Speakers will be Provost Christopher Eisgruber, Executive Vice President Mark Burstein, Vice President for Finance and Treasurer Carolyn Ainslie and Vice President for Human Resources Lianne Sullivan-Crowley. There will be a question-and-answer period.
They will provide a financial overview of the University and a look at how present economic conditions will affect the next fiscal year and beyond.
Those who cannot attend the June 29 meeting are invited to visit a website that describes the cost-savings initiatives. Those with cost-saving ideas to share may send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
