When I actually read the script, what really excited me

about it was the mixture of humor and pathos.

It's filled with characters who are very able to step back and

look at themselves and poke a little fun at themselves,

but if the whole play was like that, it wouldn't be super-fun.

What makes it super-fun is that they only do that after a five-

or 10-minute scene that's really deeply about love,

Mitch Frank:
or the good and bad parts of a relationship.

Mitch Frank:
So, I really like that balance that it strikes.

Aaron Strand:
I play Gay Easterbrook, who is a successful playwright

Aaron Strand:
of the 1930s, and he is being fought over by

Aaron Strand:
two women: one actress and one socialite of New York in the 1930s.

Tyler Crosby:
I play Filo Smith.

Tyler Crosby:
He is a middle-aged, crotchety old man -- definitely

Tyler Crosby:
of the high society the world exists in.

Tyler Crosby:
The description of him in the script is that he is no longer

Tyler Crosby:
agitated by anything because he has made his major decisions in

life -- which is really tough for me to

Tyler Crosby:
play right now, because I haven't made any decisions.

The most rewarding thing is the

deep sense of camaraderie that is established within the group

because putting up theater is not an easy thing to do.

But undoubtedly, there is a huge communal sense

Aaron Strand:
of accomplishment and when that is magnified and channeled

Aaron Strand:
through an audience that's applauding the art you have

created, there's no better "thank you" needed.
