Race marks new residential college facilities

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, 10 a.m. Bloomberg Hall

A student-organized 5K run will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, to mark the opening of new facilities associated with the University's Butler and Wilson colleges.

The Butler/Wilson 5K is open to the public and registration is free, but participants are encouraged to bring a donation for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. To register and view donation information, visit the event website.

The event will start at Butler's Bloomberg Hall and traverse much of the campus before ending in front of the new Butler dormitories. Check-in and same-day registration will begin at 9 a.m. The rain date for the race is Sunday, Sept. 20.

Walkers and runners are welcome to participate, and prizes will be awarded to the first-place male and female finishers. Raffles for prizes also will be held after the race.

For more information, contact race organizer Scott Breunig at butlerwu@princeton.edu.

The event is cosponsored by the Butler and Wilson college offices.
