Daggett, independent gubernatorial candidate, to speak

Chris Daggett, the independent candidate for governor of New Jersey, will present a talk titled "New Jersey's Challenges: What the Future Holds" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
Daggett's talk is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Policy Research Institute for the Region. Invitations to speak at the University also have been extended to Gov. Jon Corzine, the Democratic candidate, and Chris Christie, the Republican candidate.
During the 1980s, Daggett served as deputy chief of staff to former New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean, regional administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Following his public service career, he became a partner in the William E. Simon & Sons investment firm.
