Princeton University Players perform 'Ragtime'

The Princeton University Players will present "Ragtime: The Musical" Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 12-15, at the Matthews Acting Studio, 185 Nassau St. Show times are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with 2 p.m. matinee performances Saturday and Sunday.
Based on E.L. Doctorow's novel, "Ragtime" intertwines the stories of three families as they confront history's timeless contradictions of wealth and poverty, freedom and prejudice, hope and despair, and what it means to live in America. The production is directed by senior Casey Ford Alexander.
The production is cosponsored by the Center for African American Studies, the Program in American Studies and the Center for Jewish Life.
Tickets are $8 for students; $10 for faculty, staff and senior citizens; and $12 for others. Admission is free with Tiger Tickets marked "Student Events Eligible." Tickets may be purchased at the Frist Campus Center ticket office or through University Ticketing.
