Panel to address Pakistan's troubled democracy

"Pakistan: Dilemmas of a Troubled Democracy" is the title of a panel discussion scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, in 16 Robertson Hall.

The panel will include: Robert Finn, senior research associate at the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination and former U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan; Zia Mian, research scientist and director of the Project on Peace and Security in South Asia in the Program on Science and Global Security; and Paula Newberg, director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Stanley Katz, lecturer with rank of professor of public and international affairs, will moderate the panel.

The discussion is being held in conjunction with an exhibition titled "The Other Pakistan," which is on view through Jan. 21 in the Bernstein Gallery in Robertson Hall.

The event is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
